The Inaugural Classic Auto Show Comes to LA January 2017
The Classic Auto Show, presented by and powered by Velocity, premieres at the Los Angeles Convention Center at the end of January, bringing with it a celebration of all things automotive. This tribute to the cars of bygone years will feature wall-to-wall exhibitors showcasing the best and rarest classic, historic and vintage cars in the world.

First-ever open call exhibition Sense of Place at EAM

How do we map the places of our lives --- the real, the remembered and the imagined? Elmhurst Art Museum (EAM) celebrates its own sense of place in Elmhurst and its founding by members of the Elmhurst Artists Guild with Sense of Place, the Museum’s first open-call exhibition.  The exhibition of work from Chicago and international artists is on display from December 10, 2016 through February 12, 2017.

VA Medical Center to Host Random Acts of Flowers/Melissa Stockwell

On Thursday, November 10, 2016, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center will be welcoming Random Acts of Flowers Chicago and Chicago Veteran and 2016 Paralympic Bronze Medalist Melissa Stockwell.


Random Acts of Flowers improves the emotional health and wellbeing of individuals in healthcare facilities by delivering recycled flowers, encouragement and personal moments of kindness. They will deliver flowers to more than 500 local veterans during the week of Veterans Day.


Apollo Chorus of Chicago Announces its 2016-2017 Season

One of the most legendary musical organizations in the nation, The Apollo Chorus, celebrates 145 years of making music with its 2016-2017 milestone season featuring an exhilarating lineup of classical and contemporary concerts. Kicking off the 145th Season is a free preview concert, Music in the Neighborhood, on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 320 S Washington St, Park Ridge, fusing classic favorites with fresh new excerpts from the upcoming season.

Halloween at Navy Pier
Navy Pier will celebrate Halloween with a wicked week of events planned for October 22, 23 and 28-31. Fun for all ages will be had throughout the Pier, including two feature films, Pier-wide trick-or-treating, a costume contest, Haunted Maze, Halloween-themed boat cruises and parties, a fireworks show and more! Starting Saturday, October 22 through to Monday, October 31, guests wearing a Halloween costume or Blackhawks gear will get a complimentary skate rental with purchase of admission to Chicago Blackhawks Skate by the Lake ice rink.
Annual Teddy Bear Toy Drive to Benefit Nicasa Families
The Lake Shore Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), Chapter #3522, will hold its annual “Teddy Bear” drive, bringing Christmas gifts to the children and families of Nicasa on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
“This is the 13th year we have been able to share the holidays with youth in care, and we are so proud to be involved,” says Manny Casillas of the Lake Shore Hogs. “I’ve said this before but every year, we look forward to this event. We do this for the children.”
