Kurt Elling comes home with Grant Park Music Festival

First Chicago mural by Banksy collaborator EINE in Wabash Arts Corridor

The Wabash Arts Corridor (WAC), in partnership with Columbia College Chicago and Vertical Gallery, unveils this week the first Chicago mural from acclaimed London-based street artist Ben Eine (EINE). A former collaborator of Banksy, EINE’s new work will read “Harmony” in his iconic Circus Font on the Wabash-facing exterior of University Center, a residence hall located at 525 S. State Street.

French film director and visual artist Agnes Varda exhibits new works
The University of Chicago’s Logan Center Gallery will host an exhibition of recent work by renowned French film director and visual artist Agnès Varda. Curated by Dominique Bluher – Lecturer and Director of M.A. Studies in the Department of Cinema and Media Studies – the multimedia Photographs Get Moving (potatoes and shells, too) can be seen from September 11-November 8, 2015 in the Logan Center Gallery, 915 E. 60th Street. The artist will be in residence October 8-15 for gallery talks and film screenings.
