|County Wide Celebration of the Forest Preserves||
The public is invited to a week-long, County-wide extravaganza marking a once-in-a-lifetime milestone of the Forest Preserves of Cook County (FPCC). “100 Years / 100 Events” begins Sunday September 20 and runs through September 27, 2015. All that can be enjoyed within the Forest Preserves of Cook County can be experienced during this celebration, which is being hosted at various forest preserves sites featuring more than 100 events and activities for all ages, groups and interests.

Come get your hands dirty at Lambs Farm’s 10th Annual Barn Burner BBQ on October 16 & 17, 2015! Lambs Farm is hosting a Kansas City Barbecue Association-sanctioned event in which teams can compete. The event will be held in the main parking lot where the Grand Championship title and the chance to compete at national events are up for stakes.
|THE ARTS OF LIFE 7th ANNUAL CHARITABLE CHILI COOK-OFF||
The Arts of Life, a Chicagoland non-profit arts studio for adults with and without disabilities, will be returning to showcase the area’s best and tastiest chili at their 7th Annual Charitable Chili Cook-Off on November 7, 2015 starting at 5PM. Like the previous successful years, the Chili Cook-Off will take place at 2010 W. Carroll Ave in Chicago.
|33RD REELING FILM FESTIVAL KICKS OFF THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, 2015||
The 33rd installment of Reeling, the second-oldest LGBTQ+ film festival in the world and a beloved Chicago cultural institution for more than 30 years, kicks off Thursday, September 17th, 2015 at Music Box Theatre with the Chicago premiere of the hilarious gay dude comedy FOURTH MAN OUT, starring Evan Todd, former Calvin Klein model Parker Young (of The CW’s Arrow), Glee’s Chord Overstreet and The Office’s Kate Flannery, The Second City and Annoyance Theatre alum.

The Arts of Life, a Chicago non-profit committed to providing high-quality, innovative services for artists with developmental disabilities, is pleased to announce the 2015 Chicago Studio Award Show located at 2010 W. Carroll Ave. The opening event, taking place on Friday, October 9th, 2015 from 6 pm- 9 pm, is an annual opportunity to recognize every artist from the studio. Each artist will receive a unique award for their accomplishments in 2015 and showcase a piece of artwork in the event exhibition. Our lovely friends over at WHISK will be providing food for the evening.

The Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) announced today the upcoming launch of the second annual ‘Dine Out for Heroes,’ a dining event experience benefitting BWF. Following the success of last year’s one-day-only event, ‘Dine Out For Heroes’ will extend to five days for the worthy cause, running Monday, November 9th, 2015 through Friday, November 13th, 2015, across New York City.

The National Museum of American Jewish History (NMAJH) is pleased to announce that it will be offering several experiences to serve those who will be visiting Philadelphia to participate in Pope Francis’s visit and the World Meeting of Families. The Museum will be open until 8 pm on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 to accommodate those who attend the Pope’s historic address at Independence Hall.
