The Windy City Rollers, Chicago’s nationally ranked women’s roller derby league, play their first home interleague season bout Saturday, July 30, 2011, at UIC Pavilion, 525 S. Racine Ave. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the first bout starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.

The Windy City All-Stars will take to their home track here in Chicago at their stomping ground, UIC Pavilion. Join them as they attempt to further their victorious streak against the determined Steel City Derby Demons, as they are hot off of several recent victories against Charm City, Montreal, Boston and Houston. The future All-Stars can be found on the Second Wind.  Come see these ladies face off against long time rivals – Gotham Girls Wall Street Traitors.  The action guarantees to be hot while the seats are certainly cool.

Chicago also welcomes “The Pavarotti of Derby” Bobby Narco in singing our national anthem for his first time publicly in Illinois.  On loan from The Ithaca League of Women Rollers he has performed “The Star Spangled Banner” and occasionally “O! Canada” in nine different states for various roller derby bouts and tournaments.

July 30, 2011 at UIC Pavilion is Family Night.  Grab a family pack where two adult tickets are accompanied with two child general admission tickets.
