The Lake Shore Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), Chapter #3522, will hold its annual “Teddy Bear” drive, bringing Christmas gifts to the children and families of Nicasa on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
“This is the 13th year we have been able to share the holidays with youth in care, and we are so proud to be involved,” says Manny Casillas of the Lake Shore Hogs. “I’ve said this before but every year, we look forward to this event. We do this for the children.”
The event begins at Lake Shore Harley-Davidson, 14000 Rockland Road in Libertyville and begins at 10:00 a.m. with the loading of the stuffed animals onto a truck. The H.O.G. ride begins at approximately 10:45 a.m., when the motorcycle riders will proceed to Nicasa offices at 2031 Dugdale Avenue in North Chicago. Nicasa is a private partner agency of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
“Thirteen years of helping those who need our support is a tremendous effort and commitment. I commend the Lake Shore H.O.G. members, Lake Shore Harley-Davidson, and Nicasa for all their efforts in helping to make Christmas a special day for our children and families,” said George H. Sheldon, Director of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. “Every day Nicasa’s work strengthens families and makes our communities better in northern Illinois and beyond.”
